At yesterday’s Board of Directors meeting, our Executive Director, April Westby, recognized two board members who will be leaving the board at the end of the year. Spokane Valley Councilmember Rod Higgins has served on Spokane Clean Air’s Board of Directors for 12 years, representing the City of Spokane Valley. City of Cheney Mayor Chris Grover has served for two years and represents Spokane County’s 11 smaller incorporated cities and towns.
Both Higgins and Grover expressed appreciation to their fellow board members and agency staff. They both said it has been their honor and pleasure to serve on the board and emphasized the importance of our agency’s work in improving air quality.
SRCAA Board Chair, Al French, remarked that they will both be missed on the board and thanked them for their contributions to the agency.
