SRCAA Advisory Council position openings: Environmental, Industry, and Agriculture

Spokane Regional Clean Air Agency (Spokane Clean Air) has three openings on its 9-member volunteer Advisory Council. These are unpaid, four-year terms ending December 31, 2028. Spokane County residents interested in local air quality issues and with backgrounds in Environmental, Industy, or Agriculture are encouraged to apply.

The role of the Advisory Council is to provide counsel and input to the Executive Director and Board of Directors on agency programs and regulations which are designed to carry out the purposes of the Washington Clean Air Act.

The Advisory Council typically meets the fourth Thursday of the month, from 8-9 a.m., at Spokane Clean Air’s office. Advisory Council meetings are open to the public.

Interested and qualified applicants may apply for the position by submitting a letter of interest to Spokane Clean Air, Attn: April Westby, Executive Director, 1610 S. Technology Blvd., Ste. 101, Spokane, WA 99224-5374, by November 15, 2024. The letter should describe the applicant’s experience and give a brief explanation of their interest in air quality issues. The positions are appointed by the Board of Directors who will review the applications at their December 5, 2024 regular Board of Directors meeting.
