Ridge of high pressure allowing air pollutants to build

A nearby ridge of high pressure will continue produce sunny skies the next two days, but the lack of air movement is also enabling fine particles of smoke and dust to rise. Smoke from outdoor burning and wood heating are the likely culprits, causing the AQI to reach the upper moderate range. Tuesday evening, a weak cold-front and chance of showers should help air quality improve somewhat.
