Public Notice/Comment Period: Draft Revised Voluntary Emissions Limit Order

The Spokane Regional Clean Air Agency (SRCAA) has issued a draft revised Voluntary Emission Limit order for Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center, 101 W. 8th Avenue, WA. The purpose of the revised order is to update natural gas usage record keeping for verifying the facility-wide potential to emit emission limit for oxides of Nitrogen is below major source thresholds. Upon issuance of the final revised order, Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center will continue to be considered a synthetic minor source and not be subject to the Air Operating Permit program under Chapter 173-401 WAC and Title V of the Federal Clean Air Act Amendments of 1990.

Public comments are being sought on this draft revised voluntary emission limit order. You may wish to reference this review memo. Other relevant supporting information may be viewed at SRCAA’s office, 1610 S Technology Blvd, Suite 101, during normal business hours, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.

The public comment period will run from May 29, 2023 – June 28, 2023. The public is invited to comment on the draft order by submitting written comments to SRCAA at the address given above. Comments will be accepted until 4:30 pm on June 28, 2023. A public hearing may be held if SRCAA determines, within the comment period, that there is significant public interest. Requests for a public hearing must be submitted within the comment period. Any such request must be submitted to SRCAA and must indicate the interest of the person/entity making the request and why a hearing is warranted.
