Registering & permitting businesses
About 20 percent of the air pollution in the Spokane-metro area is attributed to commercial and industrial operations. To minimize emissions from this sector, we conduct annual registration and provide compliance assistance. We also issue permits with operational requirements and perform facility inspections.
There are approximately 600 commercial and industrial operations in our annual registration program. Here is a partial list of the types of operations we work with:
- Asphalt, concrete plants
- Boilers
- Foundries, mills
- Coffee roasting
- Crematories
- Crushing operations
- Dry cleaners
- Emergency generators
- Fiberglass fabrication
