Sunday evening, July 19 – An Air Quality Alert has been issued for Spokane County due to smoke from regional wildfires. Over the next few days, the Air Quality Index (AQI) is expected to range in the Unhealthy for Sensitive Groups (101-150/Orange) and Unhealthy (151-200/Red) categories, based on levels of particulate matter (PM2.5). When air quality is unhealthy, everyone should reduce their exposure by limiting time outdoors and avoiding strenuous outdoor activity. For current conditions, check our air quality monitoring page. On that page, you can scroll down to a map of monitoring sites to view air quality data at different locations in Spokane County.
