The Spokane Regional Clean Air Agency (Spokane Clean Air) has an opening on its 9-member volunteer Advisory Council for the “member-at-large” position. Spokane County residents interested in local air quality issues and with an interest in air quality are encouraged to apply. This is an unpaid, four-year term, ending December 31, 2023.

The role of the Advisory Council is to provide counsel and input to the Executive Director and Board of Directors on agency programs and regulations which are designed to carry out the purposes of the Washington Clean Air Act.

The Advisory Council typically meets the fourth Thursday of the month, from 8-9 am, at Spokane Clean Air’s office. Advisory Council meetings are open to the public.

Interested and qualified applicants may apply for the position by submitting a letter of interest to Spokane Clean Air, Attn: Julie Oliver, Executive Director, 3104 E. August Ave, Spokane, WA 99207, by 4:30 pm on Tuesday, November 19, 2019. The letter should describe the applicant’s experience and give a brief explanation of their interest in air quality issues. The positions are appointed by the Board of Directors who will review the applications at their December 5, 2019 regular Board of Directors meeting.
