Advisory Council Opening: Meteorology
The Spokane Regional Clean Air Agency (Spokane Clean Air) has an immediate opening on its eight-member, volunteer Advisory Council. The Council advises and consults with the Board and Director in carrying out the purposes of the Washington Clean Air Act. The Council meets on the 4th Thursday of every month, 8 - 9 a.m., and reports back to the Board on an as-needed basis. These are unpaid, 4-year term positions. Council members are not considered to be employees of Spokane Clean Air.
The Advisory Council opening is for the "meteorology representative" position. The successful candidate must be a Spokane County resident. Interested and qualified applicants may apply for the position by submitting a letter of interest to Spokane Clean Air, Attn: William Dameworth, Director, 3104 E. Augusta Avenue, Spokane WA 99207.
The letter should describe the applicant’s experience in the field of meteorology and give a brief explanation of their interest in air quality regulatory issues.
