Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)
Outdoor air and your community - Many businesses can take actions to improve air quality. These activities include: substituting materials, recycling materials, reducing emissions, and changing or modifying processes.  This page give industry sector specific tips on reducing air emissions.

National Compliance Assistance Centers
Web page portal to a variety of compliance assistance centers for different industries, such as, but not limited to, surface coating, auto repair, and agriculture.

National Pollution Prevention Roundtable
A national forum for promoting the development, implementation, and evaluation of efforts to avoid, eliminate, or reduce pollution at the source.

Pollution Prevention Resource Exchange
A consortium of eight regional pollution prevention information centers, funded in part through grants from EPA. These centers all provide pollution prevention information, networking opportunities and other services to States, local governments and technical assistance providers in their region. The centers represent a broad constituency, including state and local pollution prevention programs, manufacturing extension partnerships, cooperative extension and nonprofit organizations.

Users are able to search the combined technical library of P2 resources of many branches of the Department of Defense.

U.S. Department of Energy – Energy Efficiency & Renewable Energy
Website provides ideas, tips, success stories and fact sheets on increasing energy efficiency to reduce fuel use and air emissions.

New and Emerging Environmental Technologies
NEET is an on-line repository for information about technologies that prevent, remove, destroy, sample, monitor, or model air pollutant emissions from stationary, mobile, and indoor sources. NEET contains information about technologies for improving air quality that are commercially available, as well as technologies that are currently being developed.

U.S. Department of Labor – Occupational Safety & Health Administration 
Safety and Health Topics Pages provide access to selected occupational safety and health information. The subjects of these pages include specific workplace hazards, as well as individual industries.

Environmental Permit Clearing House
Permitting is one of the fundamental tools regulators use to protect human health and the environment. Agencies at both federal and state levels are increasingly using innovative permitting techniques to improve environmental outcomes while reducing economic burdens. This site lists programs of interest to state and federal permit writers, regulated entities, and members of the public interested in permitting innovations.

Small Business Ombudsman for EPA
The Small Business Ombudsman (SBO) serves as an effective conduit for small businesses to access EPA and facilitate communications between the small business community and the Agency. The SBO reviews and resolves disputes with EPA and works with EPA personnel to increase their understanding of small businesses in the development and enforcement of environmental regulations.

Innovations in Environmental Management
Located in the Office of the Administrator, the Office of Policy, Economics, and Innovation (OPEI) is the primary policy arm of EPA. We work with all other parts of EPA and the federal government to provide critical analytic and management support across four broad areas: regulatory policy and management, environmental economics, environmental innovation, and cross-media programs.

Transporation Environmental Resource Center (TERC)
The TERC center identifies up-to-date information on environmental compliance requirements and makes that information available to transportation professionals and the public.

Coating Alternatives Guide (CAGE)
A pollution prevention tool for paints and coatings users. The site contains an Expert System designed to recommend low-VOC/hazardous air pollutant coatings that may serve as drop-in replacements for a user’s existing coating operation. There is also an up-to-date information base on various coating alternatives and coating equipment.

Solvent Alternatives Guide (SAGE)
A pollution prevention tool for cleaning solvent users. The site contains an Expert System that evaluates a process based on the user’s responses to a set of questions and then provides a list of ranked alternatives with links to more information about those alternatives.

The Paint and Coatings Resource Center (PCRC)
To deliver regulatory and pollution prevention information, either directly to businesses engaged in painting and coating, or indirectly through the technical assistance community (including state and local agencies, and consultants). National Metal Finishing Resource Center
